Vindicated Of Wrongdoing At New Workplace
I am an administrative assistant at an independent, living retirement community. This job did not exist until recently and God had it created just for me.
In this position, one of my duties is to facilitate matters between the senior residents and the management. I know in my heart that this is where God wants me to glorify His love. So I’ve been talking to the residents and trying to build a relationship with them so that they’ll find it easier to approach me with their questions or problems.
However, I was reprimanded twice for doing so. I was even told that it is not my job to have a relationship with the residents. So I prayed about it and decided to resign, pointing out in my resignation letter that it is the company’s policy to treat our residents like family.
While writing out the letter and praying over it, I remembered one of Pastor Joseph Prince’s sermons where he’d said that the battle belongs to the Lord. So I asked the Lord to take control of the battle and bring victory for His glory.
When I returned to work, my manager called me in to discuss the issue. I calmly answered all the questions, explaining my actions with references I found in the employee handbook. I also asked a few of my own questions and stated my confusion over being reprimanded for doing what I am supposed to do.
Well, I still have the job because I was found to have done nothing wrong. I am also able to continue showing the residents the love of God through my actions. Praise be to God for fighting and winning this battle for me!
