Wife Not Retrenched After Prayer
My wife is the senior administration manager for a company she has been working for in the last ten years. When the company hired a new general manager a few months ago, a decision was made to retrench her. It was a very hard and stressful time for my wife. I could see that it affected her greatly, both emotionally and spiritually.
I felt led to intercede on her behalf through prayer. As I stood on God’s Word and prayed for her, I could feel the Lord’s anointing and calmness coming over me. The enemy tried to put contrary thoughts in my mind but I resisted them knowing that there’s power in praying in Jesus’ name.
During my prayer, I received word from the Lord that the retrenchment would come to naught. I was also led to encourage my wife by reminding her that Jesus would surely help us as we call upon Him. We were also worried about our mortgage, and amazingly, God assured me that He alone was our financial source and supplier. This strengthened me in spirit and faith.
About two-and-a-half weeks later, my wife’s manager told her that the retrenchment had been withdrawn. Today, she remains in her position.
God is so awesome! He truly never leaves or forsakes us, and there is indeed power in believing in Jesus. All glory and honor to Him! If God can answer my prayer, He can surely do the same for anyone who calls upon Him.
God bless you, Joseph Prince, for preaching the message of the Lord’s grace. I love receiving His love and grace from your teachings. Thank you.
